The International Projects Unit develops client centred solutions for educational commercial projects. We draw on the comprehensive resources of the Department to help analyse, design and develop solutions to meet client demands. Areas of expertise include:
- curriculum licensing
- professional development
- quality assurance
- project management
Some examples of our activities are:
The Australian International School, Sharjah
Based in the United Arab Emirates, the school was established by the Al Sharif group to provide quality education for discerning locals and expatriates. The school is located within Sharjah University City Complex Arena in Sharjah, on the border with Dubai. It is also approximately 40 minutes to the Knowledge Village - a complex of international and local tertiary education providers.
Education Queensland International is playing a significant role in the development and establishment of the school through the provision of the following services:
- recruitment of Queensland staff including principals, teachers and registrars;
- licensing of the Queensland Syllabus to form the basis of the school-based curriculum; and
- annual Quality Assurance process.
