High School to University Program – Pathways to Success
Griffith University and Education Queensland International Gold Coast Schools have developed a High School to University program that provides international students with seamless progression from their Gold Coast high school program into a Griffith University degree.
High School Packaged Programs
Students applying for the High School to University Program will obtain joint Letters of Offer, and electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) documentation from Education Queensland International and Griffith University. This will enable students to apply for a packaged student visa.
Students wishing to study in this packaged arrangement must be a passport holder from a category 1 or 2 country for the Higher Education Sector - further information on the category is available at http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/assessment-levels.pdf
Benefits to eligible students:
- Guaranteed entry into Griffith University ( subject to meeting minimum entry requirements).
- Student graduates with two (2) recognised qualifications: Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Bachelor award.
- Students will be able to apply for one student visa for the duration of their High School program and Griffith University degree.
Education Queensland International Gold Coast
Queensland Government Schools have more than 15 years experience in providing education programs to students from around the world. Nine schools on the Gold Coast are accredited to offer international programs:
High School Preparation:
EQI High School Preparation Program (HSP)
EQI’s High School Preparation Program (HSP) is an intensive English language program that prepares students for mainstream high school studies. Students develop their English proficiency, academic language and study skills required for subjects such as mathematics, science, technology, studies of society and literature.
The HSP Program features:
- 10 week modules
- Maximum of 18 students per class
- 25 hours of instruction per week
- School integration
- Qualified English teachers
Graduate Program (EQI)
Students can enrol in the Graduate Program as a pathway from high school to qualify for further study at Griffith University and other tertiary institutions. Gold Coast students can choose from eight schools – each school providing the highest standards of teaching and care including specialised courses, sports, arts and languages. Students who successfully complete Years 11 and 12 will progress on to their packaged course with Griffith University.

GUESTS Program
The Griffith University Early Start to Tertiary Study (GUESTS) program offers you the opportunity to stretch your academic boundaries and sample university life by studying a single course (subject) at Griffith University while you are simultaneously undertaking semester one or two of Year 12.
