International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate Diploma is internationally recognised by the world's leading universities. This makes it popular for international students who want to continue on to tertiary education in Queensland. Students who are currently studying the IB Diplpoma in their home country can also choose to study the IB Diploma in Queensland for 1 semester or 1 academic year.

The International Baccalaureate is administered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) External Link in 128 countries across the world. In Queensland, students can study the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma at the same time as studying Years 11 and 12, which means they can graduate from year 12 with two qualifications:

Schools that are authorised by the IBO to teach the International Baccalaureate are called IB World Schools.

To be accepted into the International Baccalaureate, students must demonstrate:

All students participating in an EQI Program must read and abide by the International Students Travel/Activities Policy. All EQI students must also submit a Travel Consent Form before embarking on any local, interstate or national travel during their EQI program.
