Preparing for your EQI Group Study Tour
When to apply
Students should apply for their EQI Group Study Tour prior to October of the preceding year. In particular, Group Study Tour placements in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Cairns are usually booked very early in advance so early confirmation is highly recommended for these locations.
Homestay
It can take up to three months for EQI to find the best homestay accommodation for an international student. This is because every homestay family is different, and every international student has unique requirements of their homestay accommodation.
Pre-Departure Orientation Package
All students booked into an EQI Group Study Tour (with homestay component) receive a Pre-Departure Orientation Package.
The Package contains handy hints about:
- what to expect when arriving in Queensland
- what to bring to Queensland
- useful Aussie phrases
- living with an Aussie family
- safety
- and much more!
The package is translated into 4 languages: English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. It is provided to all students upon booking confirmation.
